Average credit card interest rates have remained constant between the 14th-21st of September on 146 Australian credit card offers.
Of the 146 credit cards CreditMart.com.au analysed, 9 credit cards have seen an increase in their interest rates while only 2 offers have seen a reduction in rates. These rate changes happened within the first two weeks of September . The fact we have only seen a reduction in interest rates on just 2 credit card offers since the RBA cut the official cash rate by 25 basis points would indicate the banks are reluctant to pass this rate cut onto their customers at this point in time.
